Paignton Hotel’s dazzling Christmas display wows guests
A Paignton hotel lit up the waterfront with festive lights like its annual Christmas display which was lit for the 37th year.
The Bonair Hotel has been closed to customers for five days to ensure that the festive display could be put in place as it joins other businesses around Torbay who have also joined.
A hotel manager said guests love the annual display which is added every year.

He said: “They have been going there for 37 years – everyone is very happy with them.
“The hotel is closed for five days deliberately for them to be installed.
“Slowly they evolved and added over the years.”
Other venues such as the Spinning Wheel and the Marine Hotel were also decorated outdoors with festive lights.
Torquay town center was flooded with color on Friday night for the Christmas lights coming on, which marks the start of this year’s outdoor Christmas market.
The attraction has up to 30 different stalls and will run three days a week until December 16, and then all week until Christmas.
Torbay MP Kevin Foster said, “I am delighted to be able to support the Torquay Town Center Partnership and turn on their Christmas lights display.
“It’s great that the TTCP once again promotes a Christmas spirit and encourages commerce within the city with Christmas lights and a Christmas market.”
