Food Review: Seng Hoe Fish Ball Minced Meat Noodles at Marine Terrace & Food Center

The place Marine Terrace Market & Food Center is a small hawker center in Marine Parade that is constantly packed every time I visit. One corner stall in particular is very popular for its Bak Chor Mee, and that is Seng Hoe Fish Ball Minced Meat Noodles. The food center is mainly four rows of stalls and there are only two stalls selling ground meat noodles if I’m not mistaken.

The food I tried the Seng Hoe Fish Ball Minced Meat Noodles on a weekday lunch when the queue was quite good and ordered the small portion of Dry Mee Pok ($4.50). I must salute the efficiency of the team, because there were two people who cooked the noodles almost by machine. Don’t complain, because it really shortens the waiting time.

Although it’s the smallest portion, it’s a generous portion of noodles that come with ingredients like ground pork, meatballs, fishballs, mushrooms, and sliced pork .

I love noodles that have a springy texture, and the overall flavor of the noodles is very tasty thanks to the mixture of chili sauce and vinegar.

I also particularly like the elastic fish balls and the delicious chewy sliced mushrooms.

Getting mad It can be quite difficult to get a place at this hawker center on weekends and expect long wait times.

Will I come back? All in all, this is one of the best Bak Chor Mee I’ve had at Marine Parade so far. Good value for money and tasty, this is a stand I will return to.
